Hello, I'm McClellan, or Mick for short. I was returned after 10 years due to my owner moving. I hadn't seen a vet in forever so I had a full check-up. Turns out being 24 lbs isn't where I need to be. I've lost a couple of pounds in foster care on my diet food. Luckily, I like it just enough. I'm a luv of a boy, but I'm older and not one for putting up with nonsense. I'd prefer to be the king of your castle, with no other cats or dogs to share my space with, i.e. I can be territorial and will protect my space; though, I might be okay with an easy-going dog that would keep its distance and stay out of my face. Really, I love human companionship! I'm a lap cat and sometimes forget I'm so big. I'm happy to be by you on the couch or on a perch looking outside. Also, since I'm older, I'd do better in a home with older kids (7+) who know I'm not a "pillow" or something to ride or poke at. I do love attention, though -- head scratches, loving swipes down my back and brushing are my favorites. You should see my biscuit-making. I really hope you choose to adopt me because I feel that we were meant to be together.
