Aaliyah

Hello, St. Francis... this is Sela writing from my forever home. I have been with my new Mom (the boss), Belle, and Baby (who came from St. Francis too) since the 20th of February. My forever mom let me have the run of the house the first day after she showed me where the boxes and the food and water dishes were. It's lots of house to explore and she lets me jump up on things to see everything. Belle is another cat my age, so we are sparring a little (she is top cat, so I just lay down and let her try to stare me down). Baby is a very old cat and she just lets me kiss her on the nose. Mom has great orchids - lots of green leaves....one of them hit the floor the first day and I ran and hid, but Mom just laughed . Now it's the second week so I am in training and learning what "no" means. I sleep on Mom's shoulder and play with all the toys laying around. I went to the vet on Saturday, a nice place called Hillcrest. I saw some cats that just sit on the counters there, very laid back and interesting. I had to have another feline leuk test because my paperwork said I was positive, but I'm healthy and "negative." So I got a f-l innoculation and I also have a chip in me and will have a medallion saying that I belong to Mom forever. I made it St. Francis! I'm in my forever home! Sela

Decon
Decon

its Shelby and Decon just letting you know the little boy is all settled in and comfortable! He is the sweetest thing I have ever seen and I can’t ever think of leaving him! I have a hard time going to school every morning, all he wants to do is play and be goofy. He sleeps with me every night and during the day follows me around, we think because of his huge paws they are the reason he is so clumsy and ungraceful, he is always tripping on something. On the Sunday after I brought him home he started sneezing and he sounded congested, I brought him to the vet and they gave me some antibiotics for his minor cold, and he is already back to normal. With this e-mail I attached some pictures so you can see how well he has adjusted and fit into our puzzle piece of a family. I’m thanking you for all you and the organization does for helping animals in need, and to let you know you have saved another and no longer have to worry about him. I do and will continue to treat him as I would my own kid, he will be the most happiest and spoiled cat ever, for the rest of his long feline life.

Yetter
Yetter

We adopted Yetter (Shadow) in September, 2008. His name quickly became Shadow, since he follows us everywhere. His personality is amazing. He is gentle but yet very playful. He is terrific with adults and children of all ages. He loves to be held by all of us and is very patient. One of his best friends is our very large Newfoundland (Sailor). They sleep together and often Shadow demands Sailor's bed all to himself by nudging him off. Sailor obliges every time and lays his head on the bed next to Shadow. Shadow even enjoys the occasional Newfy bath (large wet licks). He is so loved by all of us! Thank you for your efforts to find these wonderful animals loving families. Thank you also to Chuck and Don's Petfood Outlet in Mahtomedi for hosting the animals until they find their families.

Drummer
Drummer

Hello Everyone! This is Jackie (and Ed) Kellner, we adopted Drummer last week and I just wanted to let you guys know how wonderful it is having Drummer as a member of our family. The two cats (Ben Harper and Grizabelle) that we already had have been very welcoming to Drummer. All the animals hang out together in the evening and he has been spending his nights in bed with our Pit Bull, Emma. The two of them are quite good friends already! Dummer loves to hang out at my feet when I am doing dishes (I think so he can laugh at me when I trip over him) and he will even let the baby pet him every now and again which is more than I can say about Ben and Griz. Overall, I couldn't have asked for things to go more smoothly. You'd think Drummer has been living here all along as he has made the perfect addition to our ever growing family. Thank you so much for the work that you do! All our love, The Kellner Family

Dave
Dave

HI, I just wanted to thank you for allowing me to adopt 2 kittens in July. I just love them. They get along really well as they eat together, sleep together and play together. Their names are Henry Lee (once called Lyles) and Charlie Andrew (Dave) both are red tabby kittens. They are both getting so big and so cute. I've only had them a few months but they have both settled in and become part of the family! Thanks again, your happy new pet parent, sincerely Debra Schulzetenberg
